As your child develops at this age they become more interested in discovering the world around them. Currently we use the Dilly Investigator Club curriculum. With this curriculum we encourage children’s cognitive, physical, social-emotional, and language development through many different hands-on age appropriate activities and experiences with monthly themes.  Math and literacy skills are not just the main focus of your child’s daily schedule. Putting on their own shoes and coats, name recognition, fine motor skills, using our words, and becoming problem solvers are a few concepts we use to promote your child’s independence. The teachers provide a trusting environment for your child to feel secure in their own confidence to ask questions, become more imaginative, and explore new ideas. Daily classroom activities are provided to motivate your child’s natural inquisitive minds.

Let’s get ready for Kindergarten! Adding to your preschooler’s learning growth from previous years we use three different curriculum programs to get them ready to succeed on to elementary school. Our curriculum includes Houghlin Moughlin for your child’s academic learning.  We use Handwriting Without Tears to encourage your child’s writing abilities. Lastly, we use Second Step to help your child’s social-emotional growth. With all three programs we teach the skills they will need to be ready for Kindergarten in a variety of different age appropriate opportunities and experiences. In addition throughout the year your child will begin to learn sight words as they build a writing journal. As your preschooler continues to develop the skills they will need by working with their peers and independently, your child will set the “foundation” they will need to graduate.  We want your child to feel encouraged to become confident in expressing themselves, be problem solvers, be aware of others, and explore the world around them in a safe, trusting environment.

School Age Groups 5 year to 12 years – Ratio: 15 children, 1 teacher

Before and after care is provided through the public school year calendar. All day care is provided during public school breaks for winter, spring, and summer. Also for school closing.

During the breaks we have a fun, full daily schedule. With bike days, field trips, water days, snow cone truck days, and ice cream truck days in the summertime. Each week there is a theme where the children create special snacks and art projects to go along with the weekly theme.

We encourage the children to build friendships no matter their age. The children are guided to play new games, be problem solvers, be creative, and numerous positive character building skills.

Daily communication will be provided for all groups. Observations and assessments on your child’s development will be conducted throughout the year. Conferences will be held as needed for each individual child.

To have your child go home singing the songs we teach, smiling, wanting to come back each day to see what new activities we plan makes our day worth it!
